Brian Mount
Guitarist, Vocalist
Brian Mount was there at the very start.

Hailing from State College, PA, the home of the Legendary Nittany Lions, Brian used his best judgement to attend a college with a stupid mascot that has the body of the lion and the head of a bird. Fortunately, he hit the the freshman roommate lottery when he discovered he would be rooming with fellow track teammate Ed Lull. It didn't take long (the first day!) before both guys discovered a shared love for playing guitar, which quickly led to an impromptu jam, which led quickly to a visit from hallmate Bill Williams toting his guitar who hopped right in! Viola! Williams, Shields, Mount & Lull, and later, the Dimeslots.

Things didn't go as well on the second day when Ed asked if he was allowed to pee in the sink they shared in their room. Brian remembers the rest of the year as "very long."

More in Brian's own words:

* Brian arrived for freshman year @ W&M in August 1979.
* He graduated twice!
-May 1983 = B.A. Philosophy; Sociology minor.
-May 1993 = M.Ed. Higher Education Administration
* Brian joined the precursor to the Dimeslots right away: (Bill) Williams, (Mike) Shields, (Brian) Mount & (Ed) Lull. Couldn’t help it, since Ed was his roommate, Bill lived two doors down, and Mike was on the third floor - all Taliaferro Hall.
* Brian was a very short-timer (he was a full-time scholarship track and cross country athlete), his favorite gig was either W,S,M&L in Barrett East OR the 40th Anniversary show at Virginia Beer in October 2019.
* Brian currently lives in Greencastle PA with his partner Sue. Brian coaches high school track and cross country at Gettysburg high school and specializes in running shoes at ELM Shoes. Brian has one daughter, Nicole, 33. He likes walking/running, hanging with his two dogs (Lewis & Sophie), and LISTENING TO MUSIC!
Viva le Dimeslots!
