Doug Schmidt came into W&M in 1980 as a freshman in the Dupont dorm. The Dimeslots met Doug when playing a party at the Dorm. Doug's style was the Eddie Van Halen of the day! The following year Doug joined the Dimeslots for the first time. He has played with the Dimeslots at several prior Class of '84 Reunions.

There is Smart, there is W&M Smart, and there is Doug Schmidt Smart! AComputer Sciencd and Physics major, Doug has a long and celebrated Academic career, most recently as a Dean of the Computer Science School at Vanderbuilt University. Doug was just named as the inaugural Dean of Computer Science and Physics at the College of William & Mary.
