Featuring Washington-Area Award winners Bill Williams (Kevin Johnson & the Linemen, Last Train Home & The Jelly Roll Mortals) and Deeme Katson (The Essentials and The Katson Blues Band) the Dimeslots have been playing their favorite blend of music for more than 40 years... ABOUT THE BAND

Behind The Scenes

The Dimeslots were born in the W&M freshmen dorm room of Ed Lull and Brian Mount when Bill Williams joined his across-the-hall mates to play some rock and roll. Keyboard player Mike Shields (a teammate of Ed and Brian's) had already expressed an interest in forming a band and had some bumper-stickers and a farfisa organ. Within a couple of weeks the group started playing regularly in the nearby girls' dorm Barrett where there was a piano in the lounge....

By the following Fall, Reid Harrison joined the band and we went "electric".  Before the end of the year, Neil Sherman and Gary Littlepage joined the band.  When Gary left the area, Bill Grossman stepped in to carry the load.  Then, about 10 years later we asked Deeme & Shep to play with us too, and by then we pretty much let anybody else join...
